There’s always something for everyone at Kampung Senang Charity and Education Foundation where seniors can pick up valuable knowledge and tips on how to age well in life.

ABOUT US

As part of Kampung Senang Charity and Education Foundation’s effort to promote green and healthy ageing, we collaborate with WINGS and EcoCollege to deliver the following courses to all age groups.

All listed courses are NSA subsidised for citizens and PRs (above 50 years of age, you enjoy 80% subsidy from NSA). Course topics cover both work skills and life skills in fields as varied as health and wellness, business and finance, IT, the humanities and arts.

Learning is an important aspect of ageing productively, and it impacts our quality of life. Learning throughout our lives promotes social inclusion and better health.

Life education aims at equipping people with knowledge of how to maintain wellbeing as we age, and includes adapting to different life stages, experiencing the goodness of life while cherishing what you currently possess, and making preparations for death to reduce its impact on family and friends.

EcoCollege Pte Ltd (EcoCollege), established 8 August 2017, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eco-Harmony Global Network Ltd (EcoHarmony). It is a training arm of Eco-Harmony and Kampung Senang Charity and Education Foundation.

GRANDPARENT & GRANDCHILD BONDING: FUN WITH NOTEBOOK MAKING AND TANGLING

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Learn how to hand stitch a notebook using basic stitching techniques and design your special and unique notebook together with your grandchild using the Zentangle Method. The Zentangle method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful art works by drawing repetitive patterns.

MUSIC CARE FOR MIND AND BODY HEALTH

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This experiential course introduces the benefits of music engagement through musical activities. It integrates practical information wity research-based evidence on the impact of music on our neurological functioning.

AN EASIER WAY TO WRITE YOUR MEMOIRS

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course aims to empower participants with an easier way to write memoirs. Topics covered include: How and Why to write memoirs in any language, writing activities for memoir vignettes, editing and sharing your memoirs, and celebration of each other’s memoir vignettes.

READING ALOUD TO CHILDREN BY ADULTS

COURSE DESCRIPTION

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Quality of sleep and joyful interactions contribute to healthy aging and wellness. Clarity of mind also improves decision making and life-long learning ability. Learn how to achieve clarity, deeper sleep and happiness through a scientific brain training program. You will watch selected videos and listen to neuro-code music, as well as use DIY home care equipment to improve brain vibration frequency and quality of life.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Ageing Well With Mindfulness course was developed based on the MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), a well-researched and evidence-based program created by Dr Jon Kabat Zinn in 1979, at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Center for Mindfulness. In this course, participants will be guided through various mindfulness practices, be briefed on how mindfulness works, perform self-inquiry, share their experience in pair or group dialogue, and engage in home practices.

DIY TCM HOME HEALTH CARE – TCM DIETARY

This course aims to promote TCM dietary health care for oneself and family members at home. Topics covered include: introduction to TCM dietary; understanding the benefits of TCM, Traditional “Five Elements Study” and through TCM diets improve wellbeing.
